Brothers and neighbors of La Roda de Andalucía (Seville) have established the Sociedad Agraria de Transformación Escalera Álvarez SAT with the purpose of producing, processing, and marketing organic olive oil.
During the 2018/2019 season, they launched the olive oil brand "Entre Caminos," milling in a cooperative within their municipality. By the 2020/2021 season, with the acquisition of their own olive mill, they were able to complete the entire cycle, encompassing the phases of production, processing, and marketing.
WILDLIFE PROTECTION SYSTEM
The project, developed by Agronomus Smart Farming S.L., has been awarded this recognition for its protection of aerial fauna during nighttime harvesting of hedge olive groves.
This protective device is presented as a kit that can be attached to any type of harvester without affecting the normal operation of the machinery. It provides benefits to the olive-growing sector in terms of sustainability, quality, and competitiveness, as well as cost reduction and increased productivity. Its effectiveness has been demonstrated through scientific trials supervised by the Regional Government of Andalusia and the conservationist association GREFA.

Career Achievement Special Mention bestowed by Fundación Juan Ramón Guillén
MANUEL PARRAS
Recognition granted for his continuous contribution to the olive-growing sector, which is strategic in Andalusia, through research, academia, and social commitment.
A native of Torredelcampo (Jaén), he is the author and co-author of 25 monographs, 60 book chapters, 100 articles in national, international, and industry journals, as well as 100 papers presented at national and international conferences. In addition, he has participated as a researcher in 61 R&D&I projects and research contracts at the European, international, national, and regional levels.
SOUJI
The proposal, developed by Samsarapps S.L., has been awarded this prize for its innovative approach in offering a solution to recycle and repurpose used cooking oil waste without the need for energy or transportation, transforming it into an eco-friendly, multi-purpose cleaner.
The project, which contains no corrosive or toxic agents, required over three years of work to achieve a satisfactory outcome and is backed by three patents that certify its exclusivity.
